"BUT JOY COMES IN THE MORNING" - Prayer Update: March 28, to December 31, 2022

CONCISE PRAYER UPDATE πŸ’•

I Am has sent us,

To engage young people, developing youth and youth serving organizations, to empower, mentor and be advocates for young people in order to facilitate the stirring up of their gifts so that they may play their roles in the Universal Church.

This year God enabled us to serve in the following areas (multiple times in most areas):

Locally:

·   11 Brethren Assemblies

·   3 Non-Brethren Churches

·   12 para church & service organizations and

·   2 Schools

Regionally:
8 Caribbean Churches

Internationally:
7 Churches in the USA

We have been ministering to the aforementioned mainly in the area of:

  • ·   Youth Development

Ebenezer Youth Forum

Trinidad and Tobago Cadet Force

Trinidad and Tobago Cadet Force

Having mentioned "Cadets" please forgive me for confusing you with pictures of me in uniform.

No, it does not mean that I went back to work in the “army” because I was never a soldier.  However, I serve the TTCF in a volunteer capacity as an adult officer as I have done for the past 38 years (20 years from Adult Sgt to Captain and 18 years in my current rank as Major) I have been serving “officially” as a Chaplain for the past 8 years.

·   Edification and Evangelism

Sis Patsy's Laventille Outreach

  • CAMP

The camping ministry continues to be a major part of our calling.  Apart from the Chairmanship and work with Christian Assembles Camps, this year we worked with GTBC in St Vincent and the Grenadines.  Lydia, Vincent and I attended.

9 rededications and 10 professions were made in SVG Aug. Camp this year.

Additionally, we have been involved in:
  • 9 Weddings & Pre-Marital Counselling sessions.
Most couples were "shacking up" but did the right thing in the end.

  • Funeral Services
  • Student Support (for Local and Foreign brethren students studying in our area.)

·   Youth Support for;

o Local, regional and international Church campers

o Former Trainees of the Youth Camps

o Cadets and adults who were former Cadets

PARTNERSHIPS πŸ‘Š

God has also enabled us to partner with three ministries this year:

Additional visible outcomes include:

o Over 50 fathers, in a couple assemblies, have been re-tooled to function in their homes, churches and communities

o Parents were appreciative of the guidance received to train their young children

o 2 Baptisms were done between Sharon Gospel Hall and Olivet Gospel Hall.  We assisted with the baptism of 7 candidates.

o Female Prisoners were ministered to

o Flood victims and the less fortunate among us were thankful for relief.

o Many families and mourners were comforted and also heard the gospel at funeral services.

o Negative outcomes were averted among Cadets and other youth, two of whom were contemplating suicide and others a homosexual lifestyle.

o Relief was experienced by students away from home as well as needy individuals.

o Pastors and Preachers were provided with effective tools for ministry.

o Feedback and calls were received from the Gospel Insights Radio Programme

o Devotional books were delivered on time for Scripture Union.

o At the watchnight service the angels of the Lord rejoiced as 27 year old Yohance Squires made a profession of faith.  HE WANTS THE WORLD TO KNOW.  (So I had to unblur his face).  He also asked to be baptized.

27 year old Yohance Squires made a profession of faith
at HEBRON GOSPEL HALL 31st Dec 2022.

All Glory to God!

THANKSGIVING πŸ™ŒπŸΎπŸ™ŒπŸΎπŸ™ŒπŸΎ

We give thanks for:

o Rae-Ann’s continued excellent academic performance.  All A's this semester (Fall 2022) again.

o Reuben’s growing self-sufficiency.  Reuben has moved out and is now residing in an apartment.

o Ministry mentorship commencement

We have begun to invite young men to share in ministry when we have assignments.

o We were supported with a loan for part of the Rae-Ann's School fees.  God subsequently sent a generous soul to specifically give for (you guessed it) SCHOOL FEES.  A little over half of the loan was paid.  Hallelujah! πŸ™Œ
