CAUGHT BARE FOOTED - Prayer Update: October 19 to November 8, 2020

EXHORTATION πŸ’•

πŸ’  HOW TO MAKE YOURSELF ATTRACTIVE

Living creatures were made with the inert desire to reproduce.  By God’s design, most creatures need a partner to do so.  "He created them male and female".

However, man does not have the feathers of a peacock nor the bright colours of some primates so sometimes attracting a partner can be challenging…

Notwithstanding the fact that people are attracted by different attributes and in varying ways, we can develop spiritual, physical, mental and social characteristics that can be attractive to the complimentary sex.

Proverbs 18:22

He who finds a wife finds a good thing,  and obtains favour from the Lord.

In this message we will learn how to attract a “good thing” and be an attractive “good thing” in 4 categories:

  1. Socially

  2. Spiritually

  3. Physically

  4. Mentally

'A genuine connection with God in a down-to-earth practical way motivates others to trust you'

Posture is a very important characteristic of an attractive person.

POSTURE:

o  Position

o  Open posture

o  Smile

o  Territory

o  Undivided attention

o  Responding

o  Eye Contact

"Let us allow God to make us genuinely the most attractive version of our 'true selves'."

THANKSGIVING πŸ™ŒπŸΎπŸ™ŒπŸΎπŸ™ŒπŸΎ

πŸ™ŒπŸΎ RAE-ANN

We give God thanks that He guided us to a scholarship opportunity for the next semester at Bergen Community College.   We were told previously that there are no such opportunities for international students.   Rae-Ann has applied and we now await an answer.  Let's thank God for this opportunity with the hope that it will bear fruit.

As you know Rae-Ann is by her other aunt, Tessa.  This seems to be a timely move by God since her 14 year old cousin Naomi, is at the stage where she can benefit with having the particular example and guidance of a big sister.

Glory to God!  Please remember them in your prayer.

Rae-Ann and Naomi working together (Don't be dismayed if you will soon have to wonder who is the "big cousin") ...  Hmm "Some "hand me ups" might well be in order... πŸ˜€

πŸ™ŒπŸΎ GRANDDAD

Lydia's father has been moving from strength to strength.  Not quite yet his former self as I am not getting any buffs. However he is improving.

πŸ™ŒπŸΎ CHURCH REOPENS

Our churches are now being allowed to reopen and we are up to one and a half hour meetings.

PRAYER πŸ™πŸΎπŸ™πŸΎπŸ™πŸΎ

πŸ™πŸΎREUBEN

Reuben continues to develop his sound engineering skills while still on the hunt for a job.  The Elders in one of our churches has given him an opportunity to set up a sound system for the church.

He is also attempting to acquire some additional tools and computer apps such as "Final cut Pro" to assist in a more effective way with the video production for our online ministry.

Please remember him in prayer.

πŸ™πŸΎ CAR

Still no headway at this time with the Comptroller of accounts.  In the meantime we are attempting to get the car sold.

FOR SALE TT$9,000.00 Negotiable.  The rest of the car is in good condition.

2007 Toyota Yaris
1300 cc

Please spread the word and remember us in prayer in this regard.

πŸ™πŸΎ COMPUTER ISSUES

One of my main tools in the ministry, my computer, is currently limping along.  Thank God that I am still able to use it.  I tried to close it too quickly and the screen separated from the lid.   I was able to pull it together but it is no longer operating as it should.

Pressure

πŸ™πŸΎ PRISON MINISTRY

Due to an increase in Covid-19 cases within the prison system we are locked out again and therefore have to await a further verdict to get in again.

Please remember this in prayer.

πŸ™πŸΎ HAMSTER PROBLEMS

You may remember our midnight funeral in May 2020.  We thought that we may have had another, which may have caused a little heartache in East Orange New Jersey.

Turned out that it was an abscess on Vite's left eye so "granny Lydia" under instructions from the Vet is administering medication and nursing him back to health.

Nursing duties to comfort a heart that is miles away

MINISTRY⛪

⛪ CHURCH - CAUGHT WITH MY SHOES OFF!

We have been involved in the following:

Ebenezer Trinidad. Virtual service - October 25

During the "Church yard fellowship" after church, a sister wearing a very dark pair of shades πŸ˜Ž due to eye surgery,  made the disclosure. "Brother Brown, you were well dressed but I could not help noticing that you had no shoes..."  (The eye specialist did a wonderful job indeed!  Glory to God!  And my test worked wonderfully!)

A Brother from Canada interjected that "as Christians we are not supposed to 'see DEFEET' 😨.   My only defense was:  That I needed to validate scripture.

How beautiful upon the mountains
Are the feet of him who brings good news,
Who proclaims peace,
Who brings glad tidings of good things,
Who proclaims salvation,

Caught with my shoes off

The virtual "churchyard" was hot following that service.

Maranatha Trinidad - October 25th

We also prepared an audio message for Maranatha that morning.

⛪ NORTH UNITED SISTERS' PRAYER GROUP CHRISTIAN BRETHREN ASSEMBLIES T&T VIRTUAL MISSIONS DINNER & PLEDGE-A-TON

This group has been a real source of support, annually, for missionaries.   Which is especially needed at this time when many are unable to support as before.  This event is laid out on the flyer below and I urge you to share widely and support.

I wish to personally commend the Sisters as they listened to the call of God and was lead to this very innovative way of having this dinner this year.

πŸ™ŒπŸΎπŸ’• THANK YOU
