WHAT A MIRACLE! - Prayer Update: January 1, to January 17, 2021

 

EXHORTATION 💕

💝  LET GO and LET'S GO!

2020 seemed to have been a year of bondage and restrictions, however for those who were observing closely, it was a year of unprecedented freedom and liberty.

Last year has been a year of:

• International Ministry 
• Youth Activities
• Mentoring
• Counselling
• Advocacy 
• Cottage Meetings

I had more liberty in 2020 than ever before.  Due to "new normal", I ministered to the world via YouTube.  I also traveled virtually:

• Within Trinidad and Tobago
• Barbados
• Antigua
• Guyana
• USA

We are freer than we have ever been.  Let Go of that to which you are bound and Let's GO!  WE ARE FREE! 

John ch 8

36 Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.

The TRUTH frees us from the realities around us and liberates us to:

• Worship God
• Serve God
• Serve others
• Give to others
• Be privileged sons
• Inherit the New Jerusalem

'Service while being a slave has no long-term benefits'

When someone confesses with their mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord and believes in their heart that God raised them from the dead they are saved and no longer a slave. 

Let Go and Let's Go!  We are free.

THANKSGIVING 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾

🙌🏾 GOD'S MIRACLE - THE VEHICLE

It was absolutely impossible to acquire a missions appropriate vehicle.  Many times I have had to park my car (in questionable places) and ascend inclines on foot to reach my destination.  On other occasions we had to make trips to carry equipment to mission activities.  That Yaris deserves a medal or two for enduring the off-road trips I had to put it through sometimes to accomplish our missions.   I thank God for the thirteen (13) years of service the Yaris gave us.  However God had a plan! 

After the close encounter with the police truck on the highway, the Yaris was written off while the bully truck drove away with barely a scratch.  The compensation from the Comptroller could not even pay for the repairs and purchasing another vehicle was even further from our grasp.  However God had a plan!

Four families, one after the next, ensured that we had transport to do the Lord's business.  God is no man's debtor,  pray with us that they receive ten fold what they sacrificed.  They were inconvenienced during the time we had their vehicles.  However God had a plan!

A sister from Canada heard about our plight, was moved by the urgency of God's work and within four (4) days raised a significant amount to send us a gift to purchase a vehicle.  Other contributions assisted.  God revealed His plan...

God's Plan... Hallelujah!!!!

Uncle Alva has been admitted to the hospital and is currently undergoing tests. 

Today January 21, 2021 is Uncle Alva's Birthday. Let us have a prayer vigil for him specifically.  

Let us give Sis Evette as much support [IN MULTIPLE WAYS] as possible.  This Brother has served so sacrificially for so many years.

IT DISAPPEARED SO QUICKLY - Prayer Update: November 9, to December 31, 2020

 

EXHORTATION 💕

💝  SEX

Satan is bombarding our children with a lot of confusing and incorrect information about sex, which is doing significant damage to our offspring, their future families, society and the world.

It is therefore critical that we:

• Make ourselves available
• Make ourselves askable
• Make ourselves knowledgeable
• Be deliberate in educating our children

Concerning this and all other issues that affect them.  

I am generally expected to tell youth THAT SEX IS NOT GOOD!  But I can’t do that!  Because if you are ever going to be married you should not KILL your desire for SEX! 

SEX IS GREAT! 

Don’t blame me for saying that. 

It was God’s idea in the first place and He intentionally made it that way… 

The BIBLE is probably the greatest sex manual … it reveals the good/bad/ugly… 

Proverbs 5:18-19

Let your fountain be blessed, and rejoice in the wife of your youth, a lovely deer, a graceful doe. Let her breasts fill you at all times with delight; be intoxicated always in her love.

Sex is a good thing and it is designed by God for procreation and pleasure.

SEXUAL IMMORALITY However:

• Is Evil
• Hurts
• Is of the Devil
• Is highly selfish/unloving
• Is Dirty
• Is Vile
• Can be Fatal (In more ways than one)
• Is Inappropriate
• Is Destructive
• Kills marriage, family, churches and community!

'Under the intoxication of sexual immorality people often do things that they would never otherwise do.'

Let us receive and give accurate information about sex. Let us keep away from immorality.

🙌🏾 RAE-ANN

We thank God for the partial scholarship that Rae-Ann got for this upcoming semester.  It will come in handy to purchase her books.   Rae ended the last semester maintaining a 4.0 GPA.

Glory to God!  Please remember her in your prayer. 

🙌🏾 CAR - IT DISAPPEARED SO QUICKLY

The comptroller of Accounts finally released the funds to compensate in some way for the destruction of our vehicle.  We also praise God for a contribution that we received from brethren from Canada specifically toward the purchase of a ministry-appropriate vehicle.

We actually saw a vehicle that we felt was appropriate.   The price was strangely low and within the range of our current funds.  It was too good to be true.  That vehicle disappeared before we could have funds in our account and there is nothing like that on the market anymore.  I chalked that up to, 'God spared us from what was "too good to be true"'... 

We are just more than halfway there in our quest to purchase a vehicle at the regular pre-owned market price.  GLORY TO GOD!

🙌🏾 SINGLES CAMP

Christian Assemblies singles Camp was held during the weekend, Friday, November 27 to Sunday, November 29, via zoom. 

The camp was a success and participants made commitments to change their lives.

🙌🏾 NORTH UNITED SISTERS' VIRTUAL MISSIONS DINNER & PLEDGE-A-TON

This innovative fund raiser dinner was well attended.  The opportunity was sought to bring awareness to the work being done among the missionaries who are supported by this group. 

🙌🏾 JERNINGHAM JUNCTION GOSPEL HALL MARRIAGE FORUM

Our ministry was honoured to join the above mentioned church as we hosted a marriage forum for married and single people.

During the seminar, the need for these practical forums became critically obvious.

We are still waiting on the opportunity to get back into the prison at ECRC.   (I guess many are even more eager to get out.) 

Please remember this in prayer.

🙏🏾 PRAYER AND COUNSELLING

We are still engaged in counselling both face to face and electronically with regard to domestic and other issues.

We have also been engaged during the wee hours of the morning to intercede on some really extreme spiritual matters  locally and overseas.

Please support us in prayer in these areas.

During the period under review, we have been involved (multiple times in most cases) at the following churches:

⛪Ebenezer Trinidad.

⛪Maranatha Trinidad.

 

⛪Olivet Trinidad.

 

⛪Bethesda Gospel Hall.

 

⛪Herman Gospel Hall. 

⛪ We also had the opportunity to minister at the Old Years Night  service at Carenage  and the New Years Day Convention this year, hosted by Bethesda Gospel Hall.

🕆 FUNERALS

There was another death in the family.  This time it was another of Lydia's Aunts - Auntie Mavis.   Sis Mavis Dickson was in assembly fellowship at Olivet Gospel Hall at her passing.   "precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints". 

⛪ COTTAGE MEETING

Notwithstanding the passing of two of "the Sisters", Lydia's family continue to host cottage meetings as instituted by her mother and her siblings, AKA "The Sisters".

⛪ SIS JASMIN SIMMONS

Sis Jasmin used her gift in spoken word, puppetry and story telling over the last few months: 

• In singles camp, 
• Various women’s ministry and 
• Sunday school activities.   

Pray that God will continue to use her in this area in ministry. She will be restarting storytelling in January 2021 God willing.
